SafePass is built like a fintech, scoped for peer-to-peer deals. Here is how we keep the platform safe without slowing legitimate transactions down.

Custody is not ours

SafePass coordinates a protected payment flow operated by a regulated payment partner. SafePass does not custody your money. The partner handles the held funds, we handle the workflow, evidence, identity, and disputes.

Identity verification scales with deal size

  • Email and phone verified for any deal.
  • Government ID + selfie for deals from $1,000 to $2,500.
  • Higher checks if our risk signals flag a transaction.

Disputes are reviewed by humans

Every dispute is reviewed by a real person on our team. Both sides upload evidence. We document the reason for every decision, and the audit trail is available to both parties.

Evidence is private

Photos, tracking numbers, and screenshots you upload to a deal are visible only to the parties on that deal and our review team. Files are stored privately with short-lived signed access.

Prohibited items

We do not support deals involving vehicles, real estate, weapons, regulated goods, adult goods, medication, illegal goods, pets, gambling-related items, financial products, or crypto. The full list is in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Reporting fraud or abuse

If you suspect fraud, identity theft, or abuse on the platform, contact our team via the support page. We respond to reports involving open deals within one business day.
